We’ve sold nearly half a million of books in the Teens Parenting Series, seven parenting titles especially written for teen parents.
Regular editions are written at the 6th grade reading level (as are most newspapers).
All seven are also available in Spanish plus Seguir adelante (Moving On: Finding Information You Need for Living on Your Own).
In addition, we have Easier Reading Editions of four of the parenting titles (Your Pregnancy and Newborn Journey, Nurturing Your Newborn, Your Baby’s First Year, and Discipline from Birth to Three). These editions test at grade level 2, using the Flesch formula.
We recommend the regular editioln for most students, but occasionally you probably have a pregnant or parenting student who has a great deal of trouble reading — or English may be her second language. The Easier Reading texts could help immensely.
